Many Ways to Support Us:
BB&T’s Commitment to Our Kids
Seyi Olagunju and Joe Rosselli present BB&T Bank’s $4,000 contribution to Outdoor School through the EITC program.
There are many ways to give to College Settlement and the Summer Camps at College Settlement. Donations of all sizes, whether they are one-time or recurring, make a difference.
Without the support of gifts from our generous donors, College Settlement would not have the resources to provide a life changing camp experience to the children that need it most. Donate via VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER. Just click the “Donate” button above to get started!
A donation of $250.00 to the Camper Fund helps provide financial assistance for a deserving child. Gifts of any amount are gratefully accepted throughout the year. To donate, you can call our camp office at 215-542-7974, mail a donation check to our camp office, or donate with a credit card through our website by clicking the DONATE button above.
Did you know that it costs Summer Camps at College Settlement over $2,000 per camper for a 12-day session? Continuing our ongoing mission to serve all families, for overnight camp we charge as little as $175 and at most $895 for a 12-day session to overnight camp. Donations from individuals are crucial to fill the gap. Most of our campers in our 12 day session pay $295 which covers a little over 10% of our actual costs. Gifts of any amount are gratefully accepted throughout the year. To donate, you can mail a donation check to our camp office at College Settlement, Attn: Camper Fund, 600 Witmer Rd, Horsham, PA. 19044, or donate with a credit card through our website by clicking the DONATE link above.
The key founding member of College Settlement, Anna Freeman Davies, has been recognized by our organization by having her name adorn our camp dining hall as well as our Annual Founders Award. Without her there would be no College Settlement, and without the members of our newly created Anna Freeman Davies Society our future might be less certain. Beginning January 1st, 2016, all individuals who are able to support camp at the $5,000 level or above annually will be recognized as part of this elite group of supporters. Currently we have several individuals in this category. Members of the Anna Freeman Davies Society will also be presented a special plaque; as always, of course, donors are given the choice to remain anonymous if they wish.
All donors — at every level — will be recognized in our annual report. Thank you for being part of this new initiative that will help College Settlement and the Summer Camps at College Settlement continue to bring the highest quality of programming to all our children. For further information about the Society, contact me at email@example.com
Outright Gift of Cash is the easiest gift to make. To qualify for a federal income tax charitable deduction for this calendar year, just make your check payable to College Settlement and mail it on or before December 31, 2018.
A gift in honor or memory is a special way to acknowledge and remember the important people in our lives. When a Memorial or Honor gift is received by College Settlement, a letter is sent to the donor to acknowledge the gift, as well as to any persons that the donor indicates should receive acknowledgment of the gift.
A matching gift increases the value of your gift at no additional cost to you, allowing you to double or triple the impact of your gift.
Gifts of Securities | While gifts of cash are simple to make and fully deductible, gifts of securities are frequently the most advantageous donation from a tax perspective. Gifts of long-term, appreciated securities are fully deductible up to a maximum of 30% of your adjusted gross income.
Through your United Way designation | Our giving number is 00027. Designated giving forms are available from the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey at 215-665-2500 or from your company’s Employee Campaign Chair. If you are outside of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey just use 600 Witmer Road Horsham PA 19044 and College Settlement.
Gifts Through IRA’s, Wills, and Trusts | More and more donors who care deeply about College Settlement and our mission of serving children are making gifts through their wills and trusts, or by beneficiary designation.
