In May of 1999, the Board of Trustees endorsed the formation of an alumni association comprised of former staff and campers. The first meeting was held on October 14, 1999, with eleven people in attendance. There are over 300 people on our mailing list, and each year the list grows longer! The Alumni Association was established as a way to acknowledge and celebrate the role that the College Settlement Camp and the Kuhn Day Camp have played in the lives of so many people for so many years, and as a way to continue to bring people together who wish to remain involved in the mission of the camps. Whether you spent time as a full-time or a seasonal staff member, a staff assistant, or a camper, we hope that your time at camp was meaningful and magical in some way… and we invite you to join us in celebrating that!

Then we can keep you up to date about things that are going on at the camps, including alumni reunion events.

On Saturday, October 3, 2015, the Alumni Association once again hosts a 5K Run/Walk to benefit summer camp experiences for kids!
Pre-registration is $25 and can be done through the mail, or online by September 3, 2105. Online registration requires a nominal service fee. Our registration form is up and running now… click here. The mail-in brochure and Registration Form can be downloaded here.
After September 3, including on race day, registration will be $30 while shirts last, and $25 after the shirts are gone.
Race day registration opens at 7:45 AM.
We are also offering a 10% discount for groups of 10 or larger, but those registrations must be mailed to the camp office.
We will have a prize for the largest “Pirate Crew.” (The group must pre-register.)
We’ll also have a prize for the best pirate costume, and a Pirate Medal for every finisher.
Plus: booty bags, post-event refreshments, free raffle for all, and swashbuckling entertainment!
Awards will be presented for Overall Top 3 in male and female categories; and also for Top 3 in male and female age groups: under 13; 13 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; and 60+.
All funds support projects and programs that directly benefit the children at camp.

On Saturday October 11, 2014, the Alumni Association held the 3rd annual Camper Scamper, a 5K Trail Run/Walk on the trails of our beautiful 235-acre property. (See a map of the course.)

The 3rd Alumni Reunion Weekend was held October 1 to 3, 2010… and the second Alumni Bell Award was presented at Saturday evening’s dinner to Jeff Jordan! Jeff is the founder of the Alumni Association, which hosts the alumni reunion every five years.
The 2nd Alumni Reunion Weekend was held September 23 to 25, 2005. The Alumni Walkway was dedicated, and the First Alumni Bell Award was given, posthumously, to Mark Lewis. Members of his family were in attendance to receive the award. More than 100 people attended the three-day event.
